Bengaluru: Activewear brand TechnoSport has launched a new retail format, TechnoSport Express, as part of its strategy to accelerate offline expansion and increase its presence in emerging markets.
The company plans to open 25 Technosport Express stores by the end of FY27, in addition to its existing target of approximately 130 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) by the end of the current fiscal year.
According to the company, the new format is built around a smaller footprint and a faster go-to-market model, enabling expansion into smaller towns, districts and neighbourhoods beyond major metropolitan markets.
The stores will be supported by TechnoSport’s super stockist network and brand-led marketing initiatives. The company said the format is designed to leverage its existing supply chain infrastructure while expanding retail reach.
While smaller than conventional exclusive brand outlets, Technosport Express stores will offer features such as air-conditioned retail spaces, trial rooms, trained sales staff and curated product displays.
“TechnoSport Express is an important step in accelerating our retail growth journey. This format allows us to scale faster, strengthen our presence across high-potential markets, and create new opportunities for partners to grow alongside the brand,” said Puspen Maity, CEO, TechnoSport.
Sunil JhunJhunWala, co-founder and managing director, said the format has been developed to improve accessibility and convenience while complementing the company’s existing EBO network.
Ravish Vats, head of general trade & LFR, said the format combines operational efficiency, product availability and brand-backed support to help expand the company’s retail presence.
Founded in 2007, TechnoSport operates a manufacturing facility in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, and currently has 55 exclusive brand outlets across India. The company manufactures and sells activewear products across multiple categories and is expanding its offline retail network as part of its broader growth strategy.
