Lock Upp 2 Premiere: After weeks of anticipation, Lock Upp Sach Ya Sazaa finally premiered today (June 27) on Netflix, kicking off the captive reality show amid massive buzz and high expectations. Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, who also take on the roles of jailers, Lock Upp 2 opened with the introduction of 15 celebrity contestants from different walks of life.
While each participant brought their own story and secrets to the prison-themed Lock Upp 2 competition, actress Akanksha Chamola grabbed immediate attention after making a deeply personal revelation during the premiere episode related to her actor-husband Gaurav Khanna.
AKANKSHA CHAMOLA AND GAURAV KHANNA ARE GETTING DIVORCED
Yes, you read that right! During the premiere episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, Akanksha Chamola selected the “Expose” card and made a deeply personal revelation. She announced that she and Gaurav are heading for a divorce and have been living separately for the past year.
The revelation came as a surprise, especially since the couple had never spoken publicly about their relationship status. Gaurav Khanna, who recently won Bigg Boss 19 after lifting the trophy of Celebrity MasterChef India Season 1, is also widely loved for playing Anuj Kapadia in Rupali Ganguly’s hit show Anupamaa.

Speaking about their relationship, Akanksha said, “So, me and Gaurav are getting a divorce. We have been separated and living separately since a year. It has not been public but yeah now… We have been sitting on this since last year. So, things are not bad between us, we talk to each other. But we also think that we are not compatible as partners because we both see a different future. There’s no bad blood between us.”

She further hinted that they had already made the decision to separate around the time Gaurav was participating in Bigg Boss.
Akanksha also shared that both families had encouraged them to spend time apart before making a final decision. “His parents and my parents suggested that we should live separately and find each other. They thought that if we talked to each other and attended public events together, things might improve. But there are no feelings of being a married couple left now. This will be news for our families as well,” she added.
As of now, Gaurav hasn’t yet reacted to the separation announcement by Akanksha.
