Team India is going to play second ODI match against England at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Today, Thursday. This will be the second match against England in a three-match ODI series. India won the first match with a comfortable victory, however, now the team will be looking to get another win to seal the series. They will definitely look for 2-0 lead. Interestingly, this match has one record for India’s superstar batter Virat Kohli to break.

India faces England in the second ODI at Cardiff on Thursday, with Virat Kohli needing just 4 runs to break Rahul Dravid’s record for most runs by an Indian batter in England across all formats.
Just Four Runs Away from a Historic Record
Virat Kohli just scored 5 runs in the first ODI and got out very soon, however, now in the second match he will be needing just 4 runs to achieve the record of highest-scoring Indian batter in England across all the formats. He is currently standing at 2,642 runs in 58 matches, just 3 runs behind India’s wall Rahul Dravid who scored 2,645 in 46 matches.

Another ODI Record Within Reach
Not just highest scoring record, Virat Kohli is also looking for another record which will need 86 runs to break his teammate Rohit Sharma’s record. Rohit Sharma currently holds highest runs in ODI by any Indian batter against England. Rohit Sharma has scored 1439 runs in ODI, while Virat Kohli has 1354 runs. With this gap Virat will need 86 runs, however, there is a scenario to it as Rohit Sharma will come to bat before Virat Kohli so whatever runs he will score will be added to 86 and then the real target will get set for Virat Kohli.

Milestones in Away ODIs
Virat the run machine of India is also aiming for another record of crossing 8,000 runs mark in ODI and he is just 182 runs away from it. Currently, Virat has scored 7,935 in 182 innings and requires 65 runs to become third batter in India to reach this feat. Earlier Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly have already made this record.

These all record depends on what Virat Kohli will score in the second ODI, With India already in a tough spot after the injuries of Shubman Gill and Gurnoor Brar. Team India has still not made clear that Shubman Gill is clear to play the second match or not.
