RaKai warned by police after calling 911 over bad haircut during live stream

Twitch streamer RaKai received a serious warning from his local police department after calling 911 to complain about a bad haircut during a live stream. The incident happened on July 22 and quickly spread across social media through viral clips. Police later called the 17-year-old streamer back while he was still live and explained that misusing emergency services could lead to serious legal trouble. RaKai apologized to the officer and admitted that he did not know calling 911 for a haircut complaint was the wrong thing to do.

The incident began after RaKai visited a barber for a haircut that he believed had gone badly wrong. During his live stream, he became upset and called 911, hoping police could help him take legal action against the barber.“I wanna sue him,” RaKai told the emergency operator after explaining that his barber had messed up his haircut. The officer sounded surprised and asked whether the call was a joke. He also asked if RaKai needed police, firefighters, or medical help because of the haircut. The officer then advised RaKai that if he wanted to sue the barber, he should contact the courthouse instead. He also asked RaKai how old he was and requested to speak with his parents. After RaKai ended the call, the police department called him back while he was still streaming. The officer warned the teenager that calling 911 for a non-emergency and hanging up could get him into serious trouble.“You’re a little bit young to start doing stuff like that and getting in trouble,” the officer said. “I don’t want you to go to jail at 17 years old. You’re going to have a record that’s going to stay for the rest of your life.”

After hearing the officer’s warning, RaKai immediately apologized. He explained that he thought calling the police was the right way to find out if he could sue his barber.“I’m so sorry, sir. Basically, my barber messed my cut up. I thought I could sue him if I called the cops. I didn’t know. I really apologize, sir,” RaKai said. The officer accepted the apology and told him he would let the responding officers know. However, he also reminded RaKai that the police already had his address because he had provided it during the emergency call.As soon as the phone call ended, RaKai ran out of the room while screaming, creating another viral moment that quickly spread across social media. Before the 911 call, RaKai had joked on stream that he regretted going to a different barber. He said he should have stayed with his usual barber because the new haircut left him unhappy. The incident quickly became a talking point online, with many viewers sharing clips of the live stream. While some people laughed at the situation, others pointed out that 911 should only be used during real emergencies. The viral moment ended with an important lesson. RaKai admitted his mistake, apologized to the police, and learned that emergency services should never be called for problems like a bad haircut.
