India cricketers Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep have been confered with positions of Deputy Superintendents in Bihar Police (DSP Bihar Police). The decisions have been made under the sports quata and keeping their valuable contribution to the Indian National cricket team. Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary handed over the appointment letters to both the players.
Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep’s appointment ceremony was held at the Energy Auditorium, where Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh alon with other dignatories were also present.
Indian cricketers Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep have been appointed Deputy Superintendents (DSP) in Bihar Police under the sports quota for their contributions to the national team. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary handed over their appointment letters during a ceremony.

Bihar Government has also appointed 180 national and state level players to various posts under the sports quota in different state government services.
Samrat Chaudhary government has also given scholarship letters to 637 players in the current financial year. There is also provision for assistance of up to ₹3 lakh per year under the Saksham scheme, ₹5 lakh under the Utkarsh scheme, and up to ₹20 lakh.
Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep contribution to Indian Cricket
Pace battery Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep have impressed with their performances for India and respective IPL teams.
Delhi Capitals Mukesh Kumar played a total of 10 matches in IPL 2026 and notched six wickets. While Akash Deep plays for Kolkata Knight Riders. However he out of actio due to a lower back injury.
Overall, Akash Deep has played 14 IPL matches, in which, he managed to knock down 10 batters. He has been out of contention for selection in Team India and awaiting the second chance.
