Senco Gold & Diamonds reported a strong start to FY27, with consolidated revenue from operations rising 67 per cent YoY to Rs 3,056 crore in Q1. Retail sales grew 50 per cent YoY to Rs 2,651.5 crore, while same-store sales growth (SSSG) stood at a strong 39 per cent.
EBITDA increased 16 per cent YoY to Rs 213 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 7 per cent, while PAT stood at Rs 101 crore, down 3 per cent YoY. The company said profitability was impacted by gold-price volatility, discounting and losses at some subsidiaries.
Despite average gold prices rising 61 per cent YoY, demand remained resilient, supported by Akshaya Tritiya, regional festivals and the summer wedding season. Diamond jewellery sales increased 43 per cent YoY, with strong demand for lower-ticket products and the Everlite collection.
The company added eight net showrooms during the quarter, taking its total network to 209 showrooms. Senco plans to open another 12–15 showrooms during the rest of FY27, with a focus on franchise-led expansion and Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Management maintained its FY27 target of 20 per cent+ value growth, while aiming for an EBITDA margin of 7.5–7.8 per cent and sustainable PAT margins of 4–4.5 per cent.
