Netflix South Indian Movies 2026: Netflix has announced a sizeable line-up of South Indian films for the remainder of 2026, with titles from Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema set to arrive on the streaming platform in the coming months. The announcement comes as the platform looks to maintain an average of one new South Indian film release every week for the rest of the year.

Among the titles named in the line-up are films starring Ram Charan, Dhanush, Vijay Deverakonda and Nani, along with the Tamil film Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, which premieres on Netflix today. While the streaming date has been confirmed for Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, dates for several of the other films are yet to be announced.
Netflix’s South Indian catalogue has already featured titles such as Youth, With Love, Blast and Bharathanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam in 2026. Made in Korea also emerged as a notable title internationally, becoming the first South Indian title to top Netflix’s Global Non-English Films list.
Here are the South Indian films to look out for on Netflix:
Pyaar Prema Kalyanam
One of the titles in the announced line-up is Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, which premieres on Netflix today, August 21. The Tamil film marks director Elan’s acting debut, with Saanve Megghana playing the female lead.
The story revolves around a newly married couple whose living arrangement turns traditional family expectations on their head. Instead of the bride moving into her husband’s home, the husband moves into his wife’s family home.
Directed by Elan, the film also features Radikaa Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, MS Bhaskar, Geetha Kailasam, Elango Kumaravel, Senthil and Maran. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music.
Peddi
Ram Charan’s Peddi is already available to stream on Netflix. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the Telugu sports drama also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Shiva Rajkumar in important roles.
The film follows a man whose athletic ability becomes central to his fight for his community’s recognition. Peddi was released in theatres in June before making its digital debut on Netflix on July 9 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
For viewers who missed its theatrical run, the film is therefore already part of Netflix’s South Indian catalogue.
OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram
Dhanush’s OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram is another major title mentioned in Netflix’s South Indian slate. The Tamil film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 16, with its Netflix streaming date yet to be announced.
The film is an action thriller and is being presented as the first chapter of a larger story. Netflix has not announced an exact digital premiere date for the film.
Ranabaali
Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali is among the Telugu films included in the announced Netflix line-up. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the period action drama is set in 19th-century South India.
The film stars Vijay Deverakonda alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Arnold Vosloo. Its theatrical release is currently scheduled for September 11, while the streaming date has not been announced.
The film’s period setting and historical backdrop make it one of the larger-scale Telugu titles in the upcoming line-up.
The Paradise
Nani’s The Paradise is another Telugu film named in Netflix’s announcement. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the action drama features Nani in the lead role and is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 24.
Netflix has secured its streaming rights, although an exact OTT release date has not been announced.
With Pyaar Prema Kalyanam premiering on Netflix today and Peddi already available, the platform’s announced South Indian slate includes several films lined up for streaming in the coming months. Netflix has said that its broader plan is to bring an average of one new film every week across Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema for the remainder of 2026.
