Meesaya Murukku 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Hiphop Tamizha’s Meesaya Murukku 2 recorded an estimated India net collection of ₹2.35 crore on Tuesday, September 29, according to box office tracking site Sacnilk. The Tamil musical drama, which arrived in theatres on September 25, has now collected ₹19.35 crore in India net after five days.
According to Sacnilk’s tracking data, the film recorded an overall occupancy of around 30% across 1,660 tracked shows on Day 5. Tuesday’s collection was lower than Monday’s ₹2.65 crore, marking a decline of approximately 11.3% between the two days.
With the latest figures added, Meesaya Murukku 2 has recorded an estimated India gross of ₹22.60 crore. The film has also earned ₹4.75 crore in overseas gross collections so far. Combining the India and overseas figures, its reported worldwide gross stands at approximately ₹27.35 crore after five days.
Meesaya Murukku 2 Box Office Collection Day-Wise
Meesaya Murukku 2 opened its theatrical run on Friday, September 25, with an estimated India net collection of ₹3.30 crore. The film saw an increase over the weekend, collecting ₹4.80 crore on Saturday.
Sunday brought the highest single-day collection of the five-day run so far, with the film recording ₹6.25 crore in India net collections. The collection then dropped on Monday, the first working day after the opening weekend, when the film earned ₹2.65 crore.
The Tuesday figure of ₹2.35 crore represents a further decline from the previous day’s collection. The film’s cumulative India net now stands at ₹19.35 crore.
Meesaya Murukku 2 Cast And Crew
Meesaya Murukku 2 is directed and scored by Hiphop Tamizha, who also leads the cast. Ketika Sharma makes her Tamil debut in the film, while Chaithra J Achar, Ramya Ranganathan and Harshath Khan are among the other principal performers. Nassar and Karunas are also part of the cast.
The film is produced by Khushbu Sundar and ACS Arun Kumar under Avni Movies and Benzz Media. Balaji Subramanyam has handled cinematography, while Fenny Oliver and R. Thirumalai Rajan are credited as editors.
The film serves as a spiritual successor to Meesaya Murukku, which was released in 2017. Set against the backdrop of North Chennai, the story follows Jeeva, a young Gaana singer who wants to take his music beyond his neighbourhood. The narrative also explores the musical ambitions and setbacks experienced by different generations of his family.
As of Wednesday, September 30, Meesaya Murukku 2 has entered Day 6 of its theatrical run, with the latest day’s collection still being tracked.
