Actor Barkha Singh has joined women’s footwear startup Nuvah as chief creative officer, marking her entry into entrepreneurship. She will work with founder and CEO Avni Jain on product design, brand communication, visual storytelling and the company’s creative strategy.

Founded in 2026, Nuvah is an online-first women’s footwear brand focused on combining design with comfort. Its product offerings include a proprietary Steady-Form footbed and patent-pending Style-Switch technology, which allows users to change heels to create different looks from a single pair.

In her new role, Singh will contribute to the brand’s product development and positioning, drawing on her interest in fashion and global trends to inform designs for Indian consumers. The collaboration will combine her creative inputs with Jain’s product-led approach as the company develops its footwear portfolio.

The appointment comes as Nuvah builds its presence in the women’s footwear market. The company has not disclosed its funding, revenue or retail expansion plans.
