Metro Brands Ltd reported a 12.2 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue from operations to Rs 730 crore for the second quarter of FY27, while EBITDA rose 15.8 per cent to Rs 198 crore.

Profit after tax (PAT) increased 12 per cent year-on-year to Rs 77 crore, with a PAT margin of 10.6 per cent. EBITDA margin stood at 27.1 per cent. The company attributed the quarter’s performance partly to gross margin expansion, while employee costs increased following minimum wage revisions. Investments in talent and brand-building also continued during the period.

Metro Brands said consumer demand was affected by a shift in the festive calendar, with a larger share of festive-season sales expected to fall in the third quarter. E-commerce sales, including omnichannel transactions, grew 12 per cent year-on-year and contributed 14.2 per cent of revenue.

The footwear retailer opened 21 stores during the quarter and closed nine, taking its total network to 1,053 stores across 223 cities in 31 states and Union Territories as of September 30, 2026.

The company operates brands including Metro Shoes, Mochi, Walkway, MetroActiv, Da Vinchi and J. Fontini, alongside international brands such as Crocs, Clarks, Skechers and Puma. It also sells accessories including handbags, belts and wallets.
