Haiku Hit Or Flop: The Tamil romantic drama Haiku, starring Aegan, Sri Devi and Femina George, released in theatres on Friday, October 23, 2026. Written and directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy, the film centres on a young man who expresses his feelings for his partner through poetry.

After the early morning shows on Friday, Haiku began attracting attention on social media, with viewers posting their first impressions on X. The posts have added to the online discussion following the film’s release, as moviegoers look for an early indication of its reception.
#HaikuAn interesting idea let down by mediocre screenplay & okayish making, Neat performances from Aegan & Sri Devi.. Comedy parts didnt land well.. very few feel good moments were nice.. others could have been alot better.. Songs & background score by Govind was good enoughThe second half of movie felt bit lengthy and last 30 mins diversed subplots made it underwhelming.. its neither engagaing or entertaining enough to hold the attention..Overall a below average movie !!Rating : 2.5/5

#Haiku – 3 out of 5, the film has its moments in the second half with @ActorAegan understanding that he’s a changed man but doesn’t have to live in the past. Femina George is the catalyst who changes him insisting that he doesn’t have to behave to please the person from his past life but to understand what his present love likes and hates. I wish they revealed the toxicity in the first half itself instead of second half.Aegan is adequate and earnest, he has come a long way from his debut film Joe and previous heroic debut Kozhi Pannai Chelladurai. Personally, I liked the role of Femina George more than Sridevi. Music by Siddu Kumar is a major plus. Debutant Yuvaraj’s idea is interesting, wish the second half gets more strong conflict. Nevertheless, a good debut for him!

As Haiku begins its theatrical run, its box-office performance over the next few days will be closely watched. However, it is too early to determine whether the Tamil romantic drama will turn out to be a hit or a flop. Initial audience reactions offer an early glimpse of the response but cannot establish the film’s eventual commercial performance.
The film’s opening weekend collections, theatre occupancy and weekday earnings will help provide a clearer picture of its box-office prospects. Audience word-of-mouth and its ability to maintain collections beyond the initial release period will also be important. A clearer assessment of Haiku’s performance is expected once its opening weekend figures become available.
