As of 2:00 PM, the Nifty50 was up 0.46 per cent or 110.15 points at 24,285.85, and the Sensex rose 0.43 per cent or 329.68 points to 77,831.80. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap was down 0.16 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap was up 0.25 per cent. Sector-wise, the Nifty Metal and the Nifty IT outperformed, while the Nifty Bank and the Nifty PSU Bank underperformed.
