Iran Threatens To Blow Up Israeli Nuclear Sites If Trump Hits Pickaxe Mountain
Iran has issued a chilling warning to the United States, threatening retaliation against Israel’s nuclear facilities if Washington strikes the deeply buried Pickaxe Mountain site near Iran’s Natanz nuclear complex. Iran’s hardline Kayhan newspaper has called for a “harsh and merciless” response to any such attack, escalating the rhetoric as President Donald Trump warns that the US may have to target the heavily fortified facility. Pickaxe Mountain is believed to conceal an underground nuclear facility that could withstand conventional air strikes. While Iran has not acknowledged the existence of such a site, its proximity to Natanz and concerns over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions have drawn intense scrutiny from Western intelligence agencies and nuclear experts.
