Titan Company reported a 40 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated total income to Rs 20,753 crore in the first quarter of FY27, supported by strong festive and Akshaya Tritiya demand, premiumisation across businesses and robust growth in its international operations. Profit before tax rose 64 per cent to Rs 2,429 crore, while profit after tax increased 63 per cent to Rs 1,777 crore. Excluding the impact of higher customs duty on gold, adjusted profit before tax grew 37 per cent during the quarter.

The jewellery business remained the key growth driver, with revenue rising 43 per cent to Rs 18,253 crore (excluding bullion and digi-gold sales). Domestic jewellery revenue grew 38 per cent to Rs 16,943 crore, led by Tanishq, Mia and Zoya, while CaratLane recorded 40 per cent growth. International jewellery revenue more than doubled to Rs 1,309 crore, driven by strong demand in North America and double-digit growth in the GCC markets, alongside the inclusion of the Damas business.

Titan’s watches business reported 21 per cent growth to Rs 1,543 crore, supported by continued premiumisation and demand for analogue watches, while the eyewear business grew 21 per cent to Rs 289 crore on higher demand across premium products. The company’s emerging businesses, including Skinn fragrances, IRTH handbags and Taneira, recorded a combined 18 per cent increase in revenue to Rs 128 crore, while engineering subsidiary Titan Engineering and Automation (TEAL) posted 43 per cent revenue growth to Rs 438 crore.

During the quarter, Titan expanded its retail network by adding 33 jewellery stores, 34 watch stores and seven eyewear outlets in India, while also opening two Tanishq stores in the GCC region. The company also introduced new collections across jewellery and watches, including Tanishq’s coloured gemstone collection ‘Hues’ and new premium timepieces under the Titan and Nebula brands.
