As actor-turned-politician C Joseph Vijay settles into office, fans and political observers are busy mining his filmography for signs they insist were always hiding in plain sight. The result? A viral frenzy that has gripped not just Tamil Nadu, but all of India.
‘TN 07 CM 2026’ — The Number Plate That Broke The Internet
The now-viral video shows Vijay driving a car in his 2024 film The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), with the registration number TN 07 CM 2026 — where ‘TN’ stands for Tamil Nadu, ‘CM’ for Chief Minister, and ‘2026’ the election year. Coincidence? Prophecy? A very confident production designer? The internet can’t decide — and that’s precisely what’s making it explode.
Instagram comments range from awestruck to skeptical. “It’s not a miracle — well planned and executed successfully,” wrote one user.
Others decoded numerology: “Even the date of swearing-in: 10+5+2026 = 1+5+2+2+6 = 16 = 1+6 = 7.” Some cried “Edited pic” or simply “AI 😂😂😂.”
GOAT co-star Premgi Amaren added fuel, posting a meme from the scene with: “Hi, it’s me sitting next to our CM in the car” — having earlier shared the clip with the caption, “Check out the car number.”
Was GOAT the only clue? Before the party’s formation, Vijay’s movies began to include subtle hints — Easter eggs — about his political plans, with GOAT being the most notable.
Fans are also circulating the title card from his still-unreleased final film Jana Nayagan, which reads “Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C Joseph Vijay” — triggering theatre celebrations across South India, with audiences erupting in whistles and confetti as the card flashed on screen.
Reports, however, say the viral “Chief Minister” title card is actually an AI-generated fan creation, not an official release from the makers. And as for hopes that the real film would get an official CM upgrade?
As per reports from Kollywood’s close circles, Vijay’s title prefix in the actual film will remain “Ilayathalapathy” — and no creative changes have been made to Jana Nayagan’s final copy. The man who became Chief Minister, it seems, still wants to be remembered as Thalapathy on the big screen.

‘Appadi Podu’ Is Having Its Moment Again
More than two decades after its release from the 2004 film Ghilli, the track “Appadi Podu” — featuring Vijay and Trisha Krishnan in their first on-screen collaboration — is flooding social media feeds again.
The song’s return isn’t just nostalgia: it marks a full-circle moment as Vijay transitions from acting to the political arena.
The timing? Vijay’s swearing-in coincided with Trisha’s birthday, and videos of Trisha visibly emotional during his oath speech went viral almost instantly, stoking long-running fan theories about the pair.
The Assembly Scenes That Melted The Internet
Inside the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, the script kept writing itself. A brief exchange between Vijay and newly elected MLA Sabarinathan — son of Vijay’s long-time driver Rajendran — became one of the most shared moments from the oath-taking ceremony.
Before signing the official register, Sabarinathan turned to Vijay and asked, “Anna, shall I sign?” Vijay responded with a smile.
When announcing Sabarinathan’s candidacy, Vijay had said: “My driver Rajendran has been with me for 15 years. Now, his son Sabarinathan will join me in politics” — a moment that left the crowd silent before erupting in applause.
Then came MR Pallavi. An eight-month-pregnant homemaker educated up to Class XII, Pallavi won from Chennai’s Thiru Vi Ka Nagar constituency — defeating the DMK candidate by over 22,000 votes — and arrived at the Assembly visibly pregnant to take her oath as an MLA.

Of these viral faces, S Keerthana — the 29-year-old first-time MLA from Sivakasi — became one of the youngest ministers in Vijay’s cabinet, sworn in on May 10, 2026.
Pallavi and Sabarinathan, while celebrated by fans, were not included in the first cabinet list. Their stories, however, may have done more for TVK’s brand than any campaign poster — proof that in the Vijay era, politics and cinema are still, unmistakably, the same show.
