Pradeep Rawat Death: Our Ghajini villain, Pradeep Rawat, is no more. The veteran Indian actor passed away yesterday (August 4, Tuesday) in Mumbai. As per reports, the 74-year-old took his last breath on Tuesday evening at a hospital in Mumbai. The saddening news of his demise was confirmed by his Lagaan co-star Yashpal Sharma.
Taking to Instagram, Sharma mourned Rawat’s death and paid his last tribute. “Our Ghazni, Lagaan’s Deva Pradeep Rawat is no more. May his soul rest in peace,” he wrote.

Actor Pradeep Rawat‘s death came as a shock to everyone. The actor, widely known for playing villainous roles across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, made his first onscreen appearance as Ashwatthama in B R Chopra’s Mahabharat.
After beating cancer once before, the actor sadly lost his battle with the disease following a relapse. He had been undergoing treatment for more than a month and passed away due to a relapse of blood cancer.
Confirming the same to ETimes, the late actor’s manager Siddharth Tiwari had stated, “He passed away today, August 4, somewhere between 6 and 6:30 p.m. He survived cancer four years back, but again, since the last one and a half months, it was a relapse of cancer. So, he was hospitalised for one month. That’s how it is. All of a sudden, his platelets went down, and from there, he just couldn’t recover. (sic)”
