Homegrown sneaker brand Zaydn has raised $681,000 in a seed round led by Inflecion Point Ventures, with participation from BeyondSeed and private investors.
Founded in 2022 by Ankit Dass and Vidushi Chaudhary, Zaydn has grown from a bootstrapped brand into a Rs 10 crore+ annual business, with over 170K Instagram followers and around Rs 1 crore in monthly sales.
The brand targets Gen-Z with design-led, comfortable and affordable sneakers, supported by in-house manufacturing that gives it greater control over product quality, development and speed to market.
The fresh funding will be used to increase inventory and production capacity, strengthen working capital, expand performance marketing, develop new products and grow across D2C and marketplaces such as Myntra, Amazon and Nykaa.
Zaydn is positioning itself to capture the growing Indian sneaker market, which the company estimates at around $3.2 billion in 2024, with expectations of reaching $4.49 billion by 2030.
