Footwear brand Neeman’s has appointed Deepu Virmani as chief product officer, with a mandate to oversee product strategy, design, sourcing and product development as the company expands its portfolio.
Virmani joins Neeman’s from Reliance Retail’s Trends Footwear, where he was Vice President – sourcing and product development. He has more than 25 years of experience across the footwear and retail sector, with previous roles at Bata India, Bharti Retail, Reliance Footprint and Mirza International.
The appointment comes as Neeman’s targets Rs 1,000 crore in revenue over the next three years. The company reported revenue of about Rs 185 crore in the previous financial year and is targeting Rs 350 crore in the current financial year. It currently operates 49 exclusive stores alongside its website and other e-commerce platforms.
Taran Chhabra, co-founder and CEO said, “Virmani’s experience will help strengthen product and category capabilities as the company expands across markets.
Virmani said he would focus on building greater depth across categories and strengthening Neeman’s product development capabilities.
