Nagaon Lok Sabha Bypoll Result 2026 Live Updates: Counting of votes for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election in Assam will begin at 8 am today, with the contest between Congress candidate Sibamoni Bora, BJP nominee Devasish Sharma and AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal in focus.
The bypoll, held on October 6, recorded a voter turnout of 76.19 per cent among around 19.05 lakh registered electors. The election was necessitated after Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi resigned and later contested the Assam Assembly elections from Dispur on a BJP ticket.
Ahead of the results, the Nagaon district administration has imposed restrictions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to maintain law and order. Victory processions will not be allowed without prior permission.
