Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 on Thursday, October 8. According to reports, the actor suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa early in the morning. The news came as a shock to several actors who had worked with Nana Patekar over the years. Akshay Kumar shared an emotional post on X, recalling his collaborations with the actor in Welcome and, more recently, Housefull 5.

Bhojpuri actor and politician Ravi Kishan also expressed his grief following Nana Patekar’s death. In a post on X, Ravi recalled the personal conversations he had shared with the actor and said he had learned from Nana’s approach to acting as well as his outlook on life.
Ravi Kishan particularly remembered Nana Patekar’s simplicity and his connection to his roots despite his long career in mainstream Indian cinema. He said Nana’s death was a personal loss for him and a major loss for the film industry.
Nana Patekar was one of the most iconic actors in Hindi cinema, with a career spanning several decades and work across different genres. His final film appearance was in O’Romeo, which featured Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Avinash Tiwary and Disha Patani.
