As of 12:00 PM, the Nifty50 fell 75 points or 0.3 per cent to 24,561.00 and the Sensex was down 432 points or 0.55 per cent at 78,521.95.
Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, and Shriram Finance were the top losers in the Nifty50 index. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap was up 0.31 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap fell 0.01 per cent. Sector-wise, the Nifty IT rises 1 per cent and outperformed its peers. Meanwhile, the Nifty PSU Bank and the Nifty Financial Services underperformed.
