Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Wednesday, Aug 6, 2026: Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty 50 edged higher amid lower crude oil prices and rising hopes of a peace deal between the US and Iran. Also, buying in heavyweight Reliance Industries added to the sentiment. As of 12:00 PM, the Nifty50 was up 35.80 points or 0.15 per cent at 24,660.45, and the Sensex rose 274 points or 0.35 per cent to 78,854.33. Reliance Industries, Eternal, and Shriram Finance were the top gainers in the Nifty50 index. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap were trading 0.05 per cent and 0.7 per cent higher, respectively. Sector-wise, the Nifty Chemical and the Nifty PSU Bank outperformed, and the Nifty Realty and the Nifty Auto declined the most.
