As of 10:00 AM, the Sensex fell 622.17 points or 0.83 per cent to 74,280.42 and the Nifty50 was down 216.85 points or 0.92 per cent at 23,260.95. Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, and Bajaj Finance were the top losers in the Nifty50 index. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap 100 and the Nifty SmallCap fell 1.42 per cent and 1.40 per cent, respectively. Sector-wise, the Nifty Realty fell with most, while the Nifty IT was the only sectoral index which logged gains.
