Two men were killed after a small private aircraft crashed into the roof of a house in northwestern Germany on Saturday, police said.The light aircraft went down in a residential neighbourhood in Ganderkesee, near the city of Oldenburg, before crashing head-on into the pitched roof of a home, reported AFP.Police had initially confirmed one fatality and said the second occupant was missing. However, after what authorities described as a lengthy and complex recovery operation to remove the wreckage embedded in the house, both occupants were confirmed dead.The victims, aged 65 and 77, were from the city of Bremen.Residents of the house had been evacuated as emergency crews worked to recover the aircraft. They were allowed to return after the wreckage was removed.German authorities have launched an investigation to determine what caused the crash.
